IS MATHS BEHIND SUPER INTELLECT OF RISHIS

Puranas are compilation of very old religious stories. There are 18 puranas. They are called ashtadasa puranas. See how enumerated figures of slokas for these big books are given in bhagavatam. They are in thousands, see the table below. These details now are recited as mantras. If counting is done for such books of stories, how deeply our Indians used to analyse statistics. We used to see maths in poetry, philosophy, prayers everywhere. Have we lost all such knowledge and zeal in time? Is this affinity with maths contributed to their extraordinary intellect at least to some extent?

12 names of Sun - dhvadhasadhithyulu

Sun is the god for good health. Many mantras in Vedas are dedicated to him. He was born to Adhithi, hence he is called Adhithya. Sun is the prathyaksha narayana murthy i.e. god whom we can see before us in physical form. Now we will see details of his 12 names (dvadasadithyas) in 12 months. This is explained in 12th skaMdham of Bhagavatam.
In one year he traverses the twelve Zodaic houses / stars residing in these 12 houses for one month / masam each. In chaitram Sun houses himself in Chiththa nakshthram hence the name of the month. Similarly for all these 12 months. Sun in this journey is called Adhithya in general. He will have separate 12 names for 12 months as shown bellow. HOW TO TREAT SISTER

Kamsa driving the newly married dhEvaki & vasudhEva`s chariot. Upto now his curtsey to his sister is fine. AkASavAni said son of dhEvaki is going to kill you Kamsa. The death bell erupted wickedness & cruelty, thy name is rakshasa, in Kamsa. He is trying to kill sister. vasudEva had fine diplomatic skills. He smelled the pique mind in kamsa and pacifying kamsa. He explains kamsa that one`s sister is to be treated with generosity and respect, but not treat her cruelly and praying to leave her.

10.1-26-u. “annavu niivu chelleliki; nakkata ! mAdalu chiira lichchutO?
Mannana cheEyutO? maDHura maMjula Bhaashala naadhariMchutO?
‘Minnula mrOthalE nijamu, mE’ lani chaMpaku manna mAni rA
Vanna ! sahiMpu m exianna ! thaga dhanna ! vaDhiMpaku manna ! vEdedhan.

You are brother to this sister. Oh ho! Either giving gold coins and dresses or giving respect or talking soft words (to her are proper things). Don’t believe in words from sky / gobbles. Don’t kill her. Stop and come back (to normalcy). Please show restrains and self control. It is not proper, I pray you, don`t kill her.
vasudEva might have considered that: in this excited state it is not possible to fight with kamsa and win. And / or. The armies of solders are all given by his in laws. As such they may be more loyal to kamsa and may not come to his risk. Hence, pacifying kamsa is the only proper way.

laata alamkara

Pothana wonderfully integrates alamkaras in his works particularly in Bhagavatam. alamkaram beautifies literary work like jewelry. Sabdalamkaram (jewelry of sound / letters) beautifies the work. Laata is one such Sabdalamkaram, wherein group of equal consonants and vowels gets repeated with difference in meaning and/or perception.

In kamda poem of the episode of “Puthana caressing baby Krishna”, the beautiful Laata(లాట) with the word chanu (చను) made the music magic.

10.1-220-ka. “chanu nIku gudupa jAledi
                   chanuvAralu lEru; nIvu chanavale” nanuchuM
                   “janu gudupi mIdha nilukada
janudhAna” nanaga vEdka janu janu gudupan.

BHAVAM: Telling “skilled people who can breast feed you are not available (here). You have to die / know it”, (pUthana) is going forward with josh to give breast feeding (to krishna), as though declaring “after breast feeding I will go (/ die) positively”.
